Created with love and intention, the Calm & Connect Retreat is a gentle, restorative day designed to support your nervous system, quiet your mind, and reconnect you to the still, wise part of yourself that’s always been there.

With a nourishing combination of Yin Yoga, Restorative, Yoga Nidra, Meditation, and Sound Bath Healing, this retreat invites you to soften, realign, and remember what true rest feels like.

Let's start with some Nidra

Despite the name, Yoga Nidra is not physical yoga - it’s a guided meditation practiced lying down with your eyes closed.

 

Known as "yogic sleep," it brings you into a state between wakefulness and sleep where profound relaxation and deep healing occur.

 

In this state, you access the subconscious and unconscious mind - boosting creativity, improving memory, and unlocking inner wisdom. One hour of Yoga Nidra is said to be as restful as four hours of traditional sleep.

This practice offers:
• Nervous system reset
• Emotional release and clarity
• A chance to rewrite inner patterns from within
• A doorway to your true self

And then melt into.....Yin & Restorative

In the second half of the morning, we ease into a grounding Yin Yoga practice - where gentle postures are held for longer periods to activate deep tissue release, improve energy flow, and gently stimulate the joints.

Yin teaches us the art of surrender and acceptance, both on and off the mat. It opens the door for restorative stillness, which follows seamlessly.

Restorative involves being fully supported in nurturing postures for extended time, allowing your body and soul to absorb calm.

 

This is where your healing deepens - beyond the thinking mind, beyond doing - just being.

And Finish Off With A Sound Bath
Healing

As the retreat begins to wind down and your body moves into a natural state of rest and absorption, step into a realm of tranquility with Saida’s sound bath meditation.

This soothing vibrational experience invites you to release stress, restore balance, and reconnect with your inner stillness - offering a space where healing can unfold with ease and grace.

A gifted Sound Healer, Celestial Heart Activator, and Light Code Specialist, Saida intuitively weaves a tapestry of sacred sound to:

• Induce deep relaxation and calm the nervous system
• Dissolve energetic blockages and restore harmony
• Elevate your vibrational frequency for clarity and peace
• Create space for self-discovery and spiritual alignment

 

Using an array of sacred instruments - crystal bowls, gongs, Tibetan bowls, Sansula, shruti box, rain drum, tuning forks, shamanic drum, bells, and chimes - Saida gently guides your body, mind, and spirit into a state of rest, renewal, and energetic recalibration.

Karen Pattie

Karen is a seasoned yoga and meditation teacher with over thirty years of personal practice and sixteen years of teaching experience. She holds a certification as a Hatha Yoga Teacher and has a deep-rooted passion for guiding others on their journeys to physical and mental well-being. Her practice is grounded in the principles of Hatha Yoga, complemented by her long-standing dedication to Transcendental Meditation (TM).

Karen’s approach to teaching is holistic, integrating her extensive knowledge of the body and mind with her certifications in Reiki and Seichim, Spiritual Iridology, and Reflexology. This multifaceted expertise allows her to offer a unique and enriching experience in her classes, where students can explore not only the physical postures of yoga but also the deeper aspects of meditation and energy work.

Tess Heyns

Tess has been teaching yoga for over 10 years both in Australia & overseas and has been a student of yoga for almost 20 years. She has studied Hatha Yoga, Japanese Okido Yoga & Yin Yoga. While she has studied & practiced many styles of yoga, she is particularly passionate about teaching Yin Yoga and taking people on a journey through the more subtle practices.

 

She teaches with a grounding strength and grace which invites you to move deeper into your practice. Tess wholeheartedly believes that there is a practice for everyBODY and endeavours to help you find your practice rather than fitting you into a box.

For over 25 years, Saida has been guiding individuals from all walks of life on their journey of awakening, transformation, and self-discovery. With a Diploma in Sound Healing/Therapy, she integrates powerful vibrational techniques to help realign energy, release emotional blockages, and restore balance to the body, mind, and spirit.

 
Saida is more than a sound therapist—she is a Celestial Heart Activator, light code specialist, and natural-born healer. With her intuitive and clairvoyant abilities, she taps into higher frequencies to activate deep healing, energetic shifts, and spiritual expansion. As a dedicated grid worker, she works with the Earth's energy fields to anchor higher vibrations, creating profound energetic alignments for both individuals and the planet.


Having spent 19 years in Canada and traveling across North America, Saida has shared her gifts with people from diverse backgrounds, helping them connect with their true essence and step into a life of peace, love, and authenticity. Now back on the Gold Coast, she is continuing her mission—spreading healing, light, and higher consciousness to those who are ready to awaken their inner power.

 
Through her deeply intuitive approach, Saida offers sound therapy, energy activations, and vibrational healing that leave clients feeling lighter, realigned, and deeply connected to their inner selves.
